i had taken drop n my rank in aieee is 6867,,,,,,,,,,,bits score is 288 ...........
during offcampus in aieee i got ece in NIT bhopal (as i m frm mp).....................i heard its not that gud.................(plz clear dis doubt)
actually i wanted some IT related branch in nagpur, jaipur, allahabad whereas in these colleges i did not get even mech (during off campus)................
so now u suggest shud i compromise wid bhopal (as i strictly want IT related branch ie. cse, ece, eee or IT)...........
can u plz rank d following NITs for me (bhopal, nagpur, surat, jaipur, allahabad, kkr, calicut, hamirpur, rourkela)

have u tried for DAIICT/Thapar.....
its a good AIR u can get mech at Allahabd....

calicut is too far + comptt is more there..................difficult to get in IT related branch wid 6867................. plz tell me is bhopl better than surat, nagpur, jaipur..............i knw allahabad is better than d rest

Hey even im suffering d same fate - its just tat im not a dropper..
well even i dont prefer manit (bhopal) 'cause d environment there is not at all gud & same is d case with allahabad (though i may not get ne IT branch there with AIR 5570).
So i'd say try 4 jaipur or ngp - there might b a slight possibility.
Calicut is d best option among these but it is out of reach of both of us.
Seek experts' view - more replies wud help - even i had d same doubts, so plzz help.

NIT T>=W>S>A>J>B>C>N>KKR>Surat and so on

At top 3 NITs you will get Mech/Civil
At top 6 NITs you will get IT/Mech
At Thapar you may get CS
At PEC you may get mechanical
You will get DAIICT
I recommend you choose between DAIICT and IT/ECE or above at Top 3-4 NITs
With this rank no need to give LNMIIT or JIIT a thought as you are already getting DAIICT

i feel the order for NITS should be the foll:
trichy\warangal\suratkal:almost the same \chose the one which is better for the branch you are getting
allahabad\calicut\nagput\BIT Mesra:almost the same \chose the one which is better for the branch you are getting
just go for your state NIT if you arent getting anything at the above NITS, it doesnt make a big difference
{WARNING:NIT Silchar, NIT Patna, NIT srinagar are dangerous places ; even if its your state NIT get out of there}

NIT Jaipur may be better than Bhopal but the difference should be negligible. Surat is significantly below both of these. In between comes Nagpur>KKR

@guitarist: nit bhopal is roughly equal to nit nagpur ( go for college in which u are getting branch of choice)... nit surat is quite lower as compared to these colleges

NIT Nagpur is lower than Bhopal, although not by a huge margin, but noticeably nevertheless.
