if u are intending to join mnit jaipur, believe me, i have been to that campus no less than 5 times, and its the most awful excuse for a college. i would rate lnmiit or pec or thapar ahead of mnit jaipur.
no faculty, no infrastructure.............thats the story of nit jaipur and evevn the placements are no where close to eyecatching.

DCE faculty and infra ain't good. but the brand value is. something similar for NIT J I guess.

on that brand value crap, nit jaipur doesnt even have that, any one living or any company visiting jaipur will tell u that. its just some age old misconception that people have that nit jaipur is good. but that isn't very true, its a hellhole and by the time this fella grauates, lnmiit is gonna be too far ahead of mnit in every aspect. i hope that you can foresee the future since even u, akshaytalwar have maintained that jiit , daiict, lnmiit are growing hot.

and plzz do not compare nit j to dce, its one of the best colleges in india with a brand value that is backed by facts and intellect that students their carry.

well as from ur post i feel that u r interested in tech. branches so...
see if u get IT or something in nit jaipur go for it..........
coz see i heard that some 41 students from there got into IIMs!!!!!!!
and it also have many many students goin abroad......and also as 50% seats are to be filled from rajasthan u will have very good students there compared to surat,kkr and even ur state nit bhopal....
so u will get a gud envioment there for iim or mtech ...
see i dont know about NIT bhopal...
ur first chice shud be daiict as u r mush intersted in IT related branches....but i think u have not filled the form....
then go for NIT Warangal Civil....ya Civil.....u have a lottt of combos in civil and later u can specialize in software related civil branch...and also civil has a gr88 gr888 gr888 scope in near future for sure(100%)
then next choice shud be NIT jaipur /Lnmit then NIT bhopal
and make sure u ask the students that at wat rank is that department in india....dont go solely by college ranking see the department ranking also .....if u wanna do mech then go to NIT surat its mech branch roxxxxx its 4 th in whole of india!!
so compare the ranks of departments and see
LNMIT will also be very gud in near future
and also if u wanna go for IT related courses then NIT hamirpur CS is also not a bad option...

the cutoffs dont suggest so and even their present students dont think such....

hey man jiit's location and their infrastructure are its selling points, in mot takin sides with anybody but jiit has the potential to outgrow itself and its location is one helluvan advantage. as for nnit jaipur, the main reaosn its students get into iim's is not the institute but the coachings that abound in jaipur(good coachongs, i should add). so that stat is very deceiving as far as admission goes. and u can crack the cat from any insti from jaipur provided u have the metal, u dont have to be an nit'ian to do that.

Had JIIT had been through central counseling and with few seats along with had it only had first counseling its cutoff would have been higher than that for LNMIIT if not equal. Even now its cutoff is all that lower. Besides even the students they took at AIR 50k are doing decently bcz of the strict environment and result oriented approach.

BIT Mesra Ranchi>NIT Nagpur>NIT KKR>NIT Surat
Surat is basically a not so great NIT. Try to avoid it if possible or except if you get a really good subject there and a not so nice one anywhere else.
