I would suggest NSIT CSE although in the future IIIT H CS may overtake it by some margin. However since you live in Delhi, I don't think it is currently better enough to move out.

there is one reason, he is not getting CS there. Had it not being converted, then IIIT or NSIT would be better options due to subject and location.

If u're not currenly pulled towards CSE, I'd suggest Mech at IT-BHU would be a good option. If CSE is the only course you wanna take, IIIIT-H is a better institute.

Well fer CSc IIIT-H is d best coll. among these three...Note dat deres a difference in BHU being UPGRADED to IIT & being CONVERTED 2 IIT as Ekns mentioned..My Uncle's at BHU & he told dat BHU has its own existence & it mite not b convertd to IIT its only being UPGRADED--facilities r being improved 2 d level of IIT..If ur intsrsted in Mech den go fer BHU bt i wud reckon IIIT-H..

I do think dat u r goin by da ranking of IIIT-H(24)but b'lieve me fer CSc its bettr dan BHU..Consult its Site..IIIT-H has more no. collab. wid international companies dan BHU (Google,Oracle,Microsoft,Satyam, etc) Fer CSc 3 institutes in INDIA r IITs,BITS,IIIT-H..go fer IIIT-H...But since Ur getting NSIT(A v.gud coll. indeed) ,& if u feel Hyd. is quite far frm Delhi dan opt fer NSIT..Accor. 2 me if i was in Delhi i also wud have taken NSIT CSc... So ultimately choice is yours..

IIIT-H is a very good college. However , its placement stats are a cause for concern. This is the link.Plz comment , cuz I have heard lots of great offers but the stats clearly don't show it.
Note that the highest is just 9.5lpa for CS and 8.0lpa for ECE. Avgs are 5.5lpa and 4.8lpa .
This is way lower than BITS Pilani Campus (7 + and 6.8) .And they are similar to Goa Campus's Averages( 5.1 lpa and 4.8 lpa)(Not including any PS2 offers)

hey even I am in the same boat, getting mech at IT BHU and Mtech CSE at IIITH, i am inclined towards the latter. You have to understand, most students at IIITH qualified for JEE but they choose IIITH due to branch, so quality of students is amazing, plus no reservations! btw IIITH avg and highest for Btech compsc is 7.2 n 12.8 according to 2008 placement stats on iiith website! n by da time we graduate, the whole scenario may change, difficult to predict but iiith is rising fast. I still have to make my decision where to join!

IIIT figures you quoted were for last year. This year avg CS was 720,000. Anyway, it is a very new college and really growing, besides placements are not everything. Anyway, I would recommend BITS Pilani over IIIT H as of now.

Yes even I read those stats(From OUTLOOK) , and I was left wondering how.Any clues? Do you suppose they removed all the IT offers while calculating averages? How do the averages shoot up like that in 1 year?
