A charge of mass m is brought through a non uniform electric field. derive an expression fof velocity of the charge if the intensity of field increases by the expression y=2X+8and velocity by expression v=xy+78?

I suppose that in the expression y = 2x + 8, y is the intensity of electric field i.e. y = E Thus y = 2x + 8 also v = y.x+78 ...(1) Now acceleration a = d2x/dt2 = dv/dt = dv/dx.dx/dt or a = (y+x.dy/dx)(v) or a = (y+x.dy/dx)(y.x+78) since dy/dx = 2 Thus, a = (y+2x)(y.x+78) To evaluate v=? Now using F = ma or Eq = ma or y = ma/q or y = m (y+2x)(y.x+78)/q Now evaluate y using above equation and substitute in equation (1)

The Scientist does not study nature because it is useful; he studies it because he delights in it, & he delights in it because it is beautiful. If nature were not beautiful, it would not be worth knowing, life would not be worth living. Ofcourse I do not here speak of that beauty that strikes the senses, the beauty of qualities & appearances; not that I undervalue such beauty, far from it, but it has nothing to do with science; I mean that profounder beauty which comes from the harmoniuos order of the parts, & which a pure intelligence can grasp. |
