both bhattji n feynmann r senior to me in age n also academically so i dun wanna comment  but it is very saddening to see these arguements time and again..as a student who wants to learn more from this site i request both of u to plz be careful in ur words..u ppl ofc already no this as u r older but i jus thot i shud say this cuz it really takes the shine of this site.. no offense meant..

Then imagine how distressing it must be for me that someone should intentionally come after you like this. The topic was closed decisively (Pls see my nudgebook to see what some people thought of the solution)and I had gone on to other things. And out of the blue someone brings it up quite unnecessarily. I would call it some sort of stalking and I certainly dont enjoy it

Ok, you may have some queries about the problem. But there is a gentlemanly way of going about it. To be told on your face "the solution is completely wrong" gets to anyone. Anyone has a right to seek clarification, I have no probs with that. But, you should formulate your doubt. What is it that looks wrong to you or you disagree with in the method. And ask while maintaining proper decorum. Few are sado-masochists that look for unpleasant experiences each day. What need is there to say insuting things like you have an axe to grind.

And I must make this point about integrity. When I first started participating in this forum, I remember I saw a thread in the physics sub-forum, which had a post be a girl called ramyani. She had made a mistake in some assumption, which someone pointed out a few posts later. She did not erase her post. What's more, she placed a comment: "This working is wrong. Please see ****'s working below for correct soln". Believe me, I was tremendously impressed. If I were an expert then I would have made it a point to highlight that everyone should be this honest with oneself if one wants to get anywhere. That is why when I do not know the answer myself and yet post the solution after seeing it somewhere, I make it a point to make it clear that I have borrowed the solution. There is no loss of face in that. You actually become a stronger person that way. So, to be told that "you have copy-pasted the solution" again is something I am not sure how to react to. It is unbecoming of anyone to say such a thing. In fact it is not your business at all.

Finally, we should understand that we are all very insignificant in front of this vast subject of which many of us will never even have touched the surface. You really want to see some really good math going on, just see the math olympiad sites. You will know what maths really takes. To be frank, I was myself amused at the thought that such probs wud have been two-pence for these guys and they will find it hilarious that I took such a long time to work it out.

Again, life is much larger than math, phy, chem, jee, iit and whatever you can name. What matters ultimately is whether you have lived your life for just yourself or for others. The rest is just detail.

I sincerely hope that such situations never arise again.

One thing that stands out is that hs bhatt sir has worked selflessly for this site and students. We all must respect that , secondly , he is humble to the core , and knows effective use of english :D , ie he really uses the softest of words in the best of ways (even if he is targeted ) . The thing that happened in this thread before was an exception , and we all do know that there is no reason for bhatt sir to not be angry , after all he is also a human being and has all the rights to pour out what is in his mind .Moreover i can assure you , he'll always take these things on a humourous note as far as possible

(For instance , when feynmann said that he had filched the soln , he said that it was a compliment for him !!!! Cos his soln was so brilliant that it seemed it was filched LOL :D )

One thing for which i really appreciate sir, respect him, etc etc kind words :D , is that he still has interest in solving problems , i mean at this age i think i would like to stay as far away from problems as possible !!!

Just talking about that thing , sir said about ramyani , i have seen some other instances as well of that and i just wanted to say to those people as well , WELL DONE !!!

Now , coming to mr feynmann ->

You are plain rude . I had a lot of respect for you initially .After you said easy before each qn , i did get to learn a thing or two about your pride, but still it was ok (If you know it you flaunt it :D ) ,but now it seems there is something wrong (you don't know it yet u flaunt it !!!! )

(Mind you i am not saying knowing and flaunting is right , but is was acceptable to me )

I think feynmann first said "again a wrong one !!". Dude, you are still rude and arrogant just like past. How can you say such stuff to someone 11 years your senior. Get some respect. Atleast for your own sake.If you think, you are God and noone else has the right to make mistakes, be happy with it. You have many times treated people like shit if they made a mistake. Uff !
