Hello,
I have my AIEEE counselling tomorrow with rank 33k. I will most probably get NIT Durgapur Metallurgical/ Biotech in the fiirst counselling. I might metallurgy n other other courses like mining n ceramic in nagpur.....
I might be able to get civil engg.in NIT Durgapur or Jamshedpur after final counselling.....So do you think it is better to go for Manipal CSE or the above two options...... please send in your views fast.....

if you are not willing to compromise on branch then i guess u shud go for Manipal CSE else NIT Durgapur/Jamshedpur Civil..

as with respect to overall repute, placements, scope, future prospects(MS abroad n after that) and etc which of the two is a better bet. (manipal cse n nit durgapur/jamshedpur civil)

look dude,dgp nit is extremely good only if u considr the electronics branch...and to some extnt mechanical....
i dnt knw bout manipal..bt opt 4 dgp civil only if u thnk dat manipal is really not dat good......

go for manipal. manipal is way better than nit durgapur.

civil placements in nit dgp are 100%,from what i hear.... i also hrd dat nit dgp does nt allow companies to recruit unless monthly salary isnt 35,000............
u wud do better to opt 4 cse in manipal...cos u hv a bettr stream...but thn agn,i really hv no idea bout manipal's eng college..

what about IIIT D&M Kancheepuram Design and Manufacture engineering??? how is it in comparison to manipal CSE.....as people say that design and manufature is a niche field and that there a re not many people in design and manufacturing field and many companies need such engineers..... what do you say..do you think I will be able to get this at 33k rank in the second counselling considering that it got over at 26.5k in the first counselling

Go for a better branch. Its very helpful later on in the career. NIT Durgapur isnt an IIT that you need to think so much.

I would say while choosing
Any IIIT>Manipal>NIT Durgapur
Besides, I don't think you will get even civil at Durgapur unless you get lucky.
