do one thing bring the mod to the other side and square both sides up...to get


(/Z1+Z2/)2 = (/Z1-Z2/)2 and then u can use the fact that /Z/ 2 = Z {(Z)bar}.....to get the reqd. result...

|z1+z2|=|z1-z2|




 


Squaring both sides




 


|z1+z2|2=|z1-z2|2




 


z12+z22+2 Re(z1,z2)=z12+z22-2 Re(z1,z2)




 


Cancel both sides and then use |z|2=z(zbar) to get the result

I think the approcah suggested by pramod should work.

The Scientist does not study nature because it is useful; he studies it because he delights in it, & he delights in it because it is beautiful. If nature were not beautiful, it would not be worth knowing, life would not be worth living. Ofcourse I do not here speak of that beauty that strikes the senses, the beauty of qualities & appearances; not that I undervalue such beauty, far from it, but it has nothing to do with science; I mean that profounder beauty which comes from the harmoniuos order of the parts, & which a pure intelligence can grasp.

|z_1+z_2| =|z_1 - z_2|


From the analogy with vectors, this means that z_1, z_2  are perpendicular to each other.


Alternatively,


\left| \frac{z_1+z_2}{z_1-z_2} \right | = 1\\ \\<br/>\Rightarrow \frac{z_1+z_2}{z_1-z_2} = \cos \theta + i \sin \theta \\ \\<br/>


Using componendo-dividendo,


\frac{z_1}{z_2} = \frac{1+\cos \theta + i \sin \theta}{\cos \theta -1 + i \sin \theta} = -i \cot \frac{\theta}{2}
