THIS U MIGHT KNOW!! but im just sharing wid u !!

in nuke probs r ther askin u to find the no of alfa or beta emitted rite?

for that dont rack ur brain jus rite the eqn

nucleus + particle = prod+ X alfa + Y  beta

to find the no of alfa

equate the mass nos in the eqn

massno of (nucleus+ particle) = mass no of ( product + x * 2 + 0)            alfa has mass no 4 and beta has 0

u will get  x and u can get no of alfa particles

for beta equate the atomic nos ,u know x and hence u will noe y so no of beta

any way u will b knowing this :)
