Hey friends i am unable to understand the Resistor Colour Codes and how the resistance is calculated when four coloured resistors are placed one after another. also explain the digits (what the single digits and numbers in order of ten) and meaning of tolerance.
PS: please tell a trick to remember the order if possible.
Rates assured...

well i 'v got this ............How to calculate
The colored bands on a resistor
represent a code for determining resistance.
The 1rst two colors give the 1rst
two digits in the resistance value. The third
color represents the power of ten for the
multiplier of the resistance value. The last
color is the tolerance of the resistance
value. As an example, the four colors on
the circled resistors are red black
orange and gold
and so the resistance value is 20 * 103 =
20 k with a tolerance value of 5% = 1 k .

yes user naughtygal is right
the four colors on
the circled resistors are red black
orange and gold
means
20*10^3 +- 5%

the last colour i.e. GOLD-5%
SILVER 10%
NO COLOUR-20%
This shows the percentage of tolerence
