IF   THERE   IS  A  SP3  SPECIES   AND   A   GROUP   ATTACHED  TO  IT  LEAVES  AND  CHARGE  COMES   ON  IT . NOW THE  CHARGE  IS IN    HYBRIDIZED  ORBITAL  OR IN  UNHYBRIDIZED ?ARE THERE  ANY  RULES OR  EXCEPTIONS REGARDING  THIS ?

If the charge is negative there will be eight electrons and hybridisation will remain sp3(Charge is because of electron and it is in hybrid orbital). But if a positive charge comes then there will be only six electrons which will have sp2 hybridisation (In that case charge will be on nucleus)

the negative charge is nothing but an extra electron ! for example consider carbanion , the normal carbon contains 4 electrons in its valence shell while it contains 5! treat it as nitrogen atom and decide the hybridization! when carbanion is in sp3 hybridized state it has trigonal pyramidal structure with the lone pair at the top! just like a sp3 hybridised nitrogen atom!
