no i didnt say that bits pilani is better than iitd...but yes wat i meant was that bits pilani(only pilani campus) is certainly better than iitr and iitg..dats my personal view...if ur frnd has got no interest as such and is willing to take anything...ask him to go to iitd wch is the best...i said i wld choose bits pilani becos  i m not too much into research thing,i like things to be simple and straight..so cse had it been me...but as u say urr frnd is totally devoted to anything he does iitd will be fine with him...and ur a a nice friend...

maybe ur rite but let me ask u something even bit mesra has extension centre in patna,jaipur etc..will u urself go thr???even dat is under bit mesra wch is also among the best...it makes a difference whn thr is a different caampus...with iit the case is totally diff. ( we all know the aura of iit among indians).iit is iit..bits is bits...but since his frnd is gettin cse in pilani,the branch issue comes into play....had he been gettin it in goa or hyd...iitd would have been miles better...same had he been gettin the same course at new iits and at iitr and iitg...bits pilani would have been miles better...no matter what ever has been said of bpgc and bphc in goiit.com...a different campus does makes a difference...still maybe ur rite...but i m just givin my personal view..no offence meant to any1...and i dont mean that bpgc and bphc are that bad...but come on thy will need time to compete wid best...maybe thy can compete wid some good nit...but not wid iit as of now...whereas bits pilani is only insti wch challenges iit...

and ppl here in goiit agree with me in this i guess...othrwise...why would thr have been so many post comparing nit t/w/s/allahbd/calicut and bpgc...thr were no comparision done btwn bits pilani and nit...u all urslf knw this..nio point raising this campus ka issue...goiit has itself given the verdict..

i dont know wats the difference btwn extension cetnre and campua as 2ghtr..thy still gv u certificates 4rm mesra..but atlst u agree u agree with what i have said abt comparision done amng coll in goiit.com...that itself gives u the clear picture of the whole scenario...if u still dont agree...its alrite...u be satisfied with ur views and me with my views...

in sab questions ke answer dete dete koi bhi paagal ho jaye ga but never will an answer come to mind.

Id recommend ki jao open ur books and study aur if u get in these insti go join them khushi khushi ---- u have got one of the best... no need of comparisons.....all will lead u to a successful life

anyways yes yeh nit vs bpgc has been really hottest discussion this season...i have not taken active part in it..but enjoyed reading all posts...

IITD is definately a place which boasts of  much better faculty,much better quality of students,and much better infrastructure than BITS pilani but its not the college you are choosing the branch is what  you are talking about

engineering physics although is a b.tech course but the syllabi of the branch is that of a pure sciences course

computer science and engineering is a branch which is most talked about these days

let me tell you one thing

in IITD the majority of placements are irrespective of the branch you choose but you need to have some information about the subject  whoch is going to be asked in the placement procedure of a particular company

nevertheless you can always go into the IT sector from EP but you might not be able to get into the research that is going on in these companies or you can go into R&D jobs the engineering physics has a lot of scope to

whereas BITS pilani computer science is a very good branch if you really wan to get into the R&D jobs of IT companies and for that matter

placements won't be a matter of concern while choosing the branches both of them will give you equal oppurtunities

its the interest that matters

if you have always liked computer science then go for BITS P

otherwise if physics is what opens up your imagination go for EP

you won't regret your decision in either case
