actually there is nothin which at the present svnit can do regarding hostel.....as seats were increased on short notice.........bu m sure by nxt yr they may come up to wid. other hostel.........(hopefully)

hey tats there in evry NIT ..... evn i hv been addmitted to VNIT nagpur ...
its a rule
1st yr 4 ppl in 1 room
2nd yr 2 ppl in 1 room
3rd yr 2 ppl in one room
4th yr 1 per room
n lissn dun make a big deal out of it..... k u r not living in a 5 star or 7 star hotel......
m toh xcited hving three room partners ll be so much xciting yaaaaaa............... dun act as if u r sum spl kinda student n u need a privacy n all k........ we r there to study....n we ll get the highest possible quality education k so expect 5 star or 7 star or may be 100 star quality education n comprimise on the hostels k
n ya congo for ur admissions......

hi! omi...wat u said is true....but the only problem is that all the rooms r made for only 3 ppl.......i.e they can have atmost 3 beds...3cupboards..so its difficult to adjust bu m sure nit people will find some way out for it.........btw...@ nandonanchi.........frm which states r u havin ur roommates???

actually VNIT nag will be declaring tat on 22nd whch actually means in abt 8 mins hahaha but ya 2mwr may be in afternoon or so but hey here the assured us tat each student ll be gttn a 6 by 2 bed thn a sufficient cupboard n a table..... co tats i thnk is enuf n i hv many seniors as my frndz out there so they r like hostel n all rockzzz completely... n relax yaaaa its NITs a big name juz after IITs they get a big chunk of funds frm HRD ministry i heard sumtin abt 50 cr tats a lot of money man n there is no bribing n stuff goin on so we can assume to u knw live a good life out there..... so chill be happy u r gonna be the part of the NATIONAL level institute...... thn may it be warangal or silchar or agartala..... rankings suck big time k..... all NITs r gr8 juz tat sum r more gr8..........

hi guys
i have got in nit surat in form2...came across this post...wanted to ask u all i may get civil or chemical...so now my options are nit surat,thapar chemical and pesit ece...wch should i choose???and one more thing to those who have reported at surat...if i want can i stay outside hostel???since u all seem bit worried about conditions of hostel...
