ive replied again and again (i dont mind mentioning the goa campus on the degree)
but the truth is it is not mentioned at all : its only BITS-Pilani and the course which u did
moreover ,
The institute - industry relationship in BITS cannot be matched by NSIT ie the PS2 system, faculty is comparable , brand BITS is bigger, Infra is definitely better, the only place NSIT scores above is Placements but even that is evened out by the PS2 placements at goa
if these institutes are comparable only when goa campus is 4 years old, in another 4 years it wud surely be better
my suggestion
@adbaby ----- Goa EEE for sure
@mayank -------- If u mind the extra year go to NSIT if u dont mind go to BITS

abe yaar was amazed to see the gang-ho in this forum,for virtually no possible reason at all.......has the bpgs administration scrapped the engineering courses and started marketing courses?these people are all over the place marketing their collg....
bpgc is nowhere near NSIT/DCE...........plz yaar stop misguiding people.....
and as for the guy,there shud be absolutely no possible debate abt what u shud be taking!it shud be nsit cs for sure....
i recomment that u consult some well noen experts on this forum,and listen to neither the bits nor the nsit people....

Its vacation time and we are free to help the aspirants.No one is "marketing" BPGC , rather providing info.
NSIT and DCE are great colleges , but why do you feel that BPGC is nowhere near? Aren't you misguiding ppl by this statement?

@BITS360
is it me who is misguiding.......am really shell shocked by ur response......do u see what prompted me to write all this..............did'nt u advise the guy to take the crap bpgc msc course when he is getin nsit cs,i mean is this topic even worth discussing.....people wud anyday prefer dce/nsit cs over bpgc cs(forget abt the msc course),take my words for that,and verify it with all those,who u think are entitled to an unbiased opinion,and then please let me noe....
even i wud like to see how a collg like bpgc that is piggybanking In the name of their parent collg BITS PILANI,PILANI can win over a 60 year old famed collg like DCE or NSIT.......

well surajmodi u really shudnt make any statements without facts................
look BPGC shares the same PS division, cirriculam, ALUMNI, placement division, faculty and everything else that pilani has except that the buildings are newer
so if BPPC is better than NSIT/DCE there shud be no reason why BPGC shud be inferior....................
as i said that eventhough on campus placements at NSIT are better it is evened out by the PS2 placements at goa(see the PS2 thread)
and as for the crappy dual u call.............................check out what a IIT passout, prof. in a foreign univ has to say about it
----------
I have met a lot of successful people from BITs and of course from the existing IITs. With my limited amount of exposure to BITs, one thing I like about them is the dual degrees between so called disparate disciplines such as Biology and an engineering/CS field or Economics and Engineering. The skills such people develop pays tremendous dividends in the interdisciplinary research areas. The IIT brand name is of course stronger.
Among the new IITs, the mentor-mentee relationship seems to be the best between IIT Bhubaneswar and IIT Kharagpur. See my postings in orissalinks dot com on that.
Overall, if someone has qualified for the IITs or the BITS they are very smart and hard working and if they focus on a goal they will be very successful, no matter which one they pick.
I just hope some of you will pursue research; as India needs good researchers desperately. Similarly, I hope some of you will pick disciplines like "civil engineering"; otherwise who will help build India's infrastructure. (In other words; don't go by the traditional CS > EE > ... You are all very smart. Pick what you like and enjoy.)
---------------
so since he is a iitiian he is no way biased towards anything
think what u write
i wud say presently
BITS-P>BITSp-Goa>=NSIT>DCE>BITSp-Hyd(only because they lack seniors)
in the future
BITSp-Hyd>BITSp-goa=BITS-p > NSIT>DCE

@jazzer
u may keep blabbering on this topic for eternity,but fact remains a fact,and ur reply bears testimony to what i had said "BPGC IS PIGGYBANKING in THE NAME OF THEIR PARENT ORGANISATION BPPC",just go over ur reply and figure out why?
ur reply clearly reiterates my point and proves beyond doubt,why bpgc can never reach the stature reached by nsit/dce........it takes years to reach where nsit/dce are poised today!so grow up kid,get acquainted with the ground reality,and for gods sake stop misguiding others....or rather shud i say stop imposing ur collg unto others.......coz i am pretty sure a guy who has the calibre to clear nsit/dce/bppc is smart enuf to noe what is good and what is bad for him.....
so please give up these desperate and futile attempts to satisfy ur ego..
peace..

LOL , we aren't piggy-backing , we are BITSians , as "PURE" as those from Pilani.We have every right to the BITS Pilani legacy , though we are in a different campus.
MSc Hons Course gets you an assured BE Dual , thats the only reason why I am saying that even MSc at BITS is a good option .Otherwise , I wouldn't have advised him to take it , even if it was in an IIT(where you don't get a BE Dual). Do you know about this Dual degree scheme?
Tell me , you say that BPGC is nowhere close , but why?What do you know about BPGC?Do you know of BPGC's foreign univ offers , placements , faculty , technical fest etc etc?How are you making this statement?
Anyways , as I have said earlier , if you are interested in CSE and keen on that only , then take NSIT.At BITS , with an MSc Hons , you could get some other BE also.So a bit of a risk here. If not , then even BITS MSc Hons is a good choice.
