Use
d = Z.M / N.a3
For NaCl structure, Z is 4 as there are four NaCl molucles in one unit cell.
M is the molecular mass of KF.
N is the avogado's no.
d is density, which has been given in the prob
a is the edge length of the unit cell...
Calculate a from the above formula..
In NaCl sructure... there is one cation b/w the two anions along a edge.. so half of the edge length, ie a/2 would be the dist b/w K and Cl... got it??
