No it is NOT periodic.

@shanaditya..........

if the period was 1 then f(x) would've been equal to f(x+1) for ALL x ....i.e. sin[x] = sin[x+1]

But this fails at at least one point  x=1/2.

At x=1/2,we get

       sin[0.5] = sin [1.5]

sin0 = sin1

0 = sin1.........which is absurd.

but nitish 971 , it is periodic after 2

it means if f[x]=sinx   therefore f[x+2]=sin[x+2]

therefore

f[x]=f[x+2]  which is always true in case of sinx

NO SIN MOD X IS NON PERIODIC FUNCTION BETWEEN  pi/2 TO -pi/2OUT OF THIS LIMIT IT IS PRIODIC WITH PERIOD WITH 2 pi

@coolguy_2008

The function is f(x)= sin[x] where [.] denotes the greatest integer function!

It is NOT  sinx.

f(x)=f(x+2) is true for sinx but not for sin[x].

For sin[x],

at x=0,

f(x)= sin[0] = 0.

f(x+2)= sin[0+2] = sin[6.28] = sin6 which is not equal to 0!!

yes it is periodic with period 1/2. as the period of [x] is 1 and period of sinx is  .

you jst hav to sketch the graph of sin x, and u''ll see that IT REPEATS AFTER AN INTERVAL OF 2n PIE.
arey its an understood fact that 30 degree is same as (360+30)degree, which goes on every time you complete on revolution around the origin. the values repeat...............................
I CAN BET ON THAT

rate me if i'm right, as i alwaz am
