it may b easy but i m not getting ,post the solution

the world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. it is a very mean and nasty place and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. you, me or nobody is going to hit as hard as life. but it ain't about how hard you hit, it is about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward, how much can you take and keep moving forward. that's how winning is done!

The answer is 142857.

How?

Each digit must be distinct and none of them is a  zero. No zeros because we have A or B or C etc. as the first digit in the numbers which therefore can't be zero. When multipled by the highest number, 6, the no.of digits is still six i.e. ABCDEF * 6 = DEFABC. So, DEFABC can at most be 987654. Divide this by 6 to get ABCDEF and this would mean that A has to be 1.

Rest is easy. ABCDEF * 3 = BCDEFA. Since A is 1, F must be 7 so that 7*3 = 21, leaving A as the last digit. With F known, do I need to add anything? ABCDEF * 4= EFABCD. So D must be 8 since F=7, and so on. Given below are the 5 numbers which we get when we multiple 142857 by 2,3,4,5,6.

285714
428571
571428
714285
857142

Cheers
