friction is nt eqaul 2 zero in pure rollin wheras friction is necessary for pure rollin ....or else it wud b slidin .......

correct me fif i m wrng

yea...true... friction is indeed necessary....it acts in the direction of motion... i.e. forward

yeah the rolling of a body need friction for proper movement n direction

else it just glides down the surface if friction=0

so in this case of pure rolling also friction is necessary

the cond of pure rolling is V = Rw .

this is possible only when friction is zero. Else we will get either forward english or backward english.

it is not important where u stand, but in which direction u are moving

Friction is required to initiate pure rolling ( so that relative velocity of point of contact of the body at the ground wrt ground is 0), and after that there's no relative motion of point of contact, hence friction ceases to exist (as friction only exists to oppose relative motion)

on a frictionless floor if i give the velocity such that v=rw
then it will roll without slipping forever
so friction is not necessry if this velocity is given
but for any arbitrary velocity the friction is necessry to make the body roll without slip
