U must refer a reference book along with NCERTs.
Both Resnick halliday and HCV are equally good. Refer the one which U find is better or interesting. I think the best combination wud be - Theory from BOTH and Questions from HCV.
All the best!!!

Both the books are excellant and masterpiece to study, learn, understannd and appreciate the subject of physics.
Resnick halliday has plenty of collections as an example from the physical world which are exemplary.
So for concept building both the books aer good.
For application resnick halliday scores over HC Verma.
But as far as solved and unsolved problems are concerned H C Verma will help you a lot from competition point of view.
Finally both the books are must read in once lifetime.

The Scientist does not study nature because it is useful; he studies it because he delights in it, & he delights in it because it is beautiful. If nature were not beautiful, it would not be worth knowing, life would not be worth living. Ofcourse I do not here speak of that beauty that strikes the senses, the beauty of qualities & appearances; not that I undervalue such beauty, far from it, but it has nothing to do with science; I mean that profounder beauty which comes from the harmoniuos order of the parts, & which a pure intelligence can grasp. |
