AN ELEC. DIPOLE IS PLACED AT ORIGIN AND IS DIRECTED ALONG THE X AXIS. AT A PT. P FAR AWAY FRM DIPOLE , ELEC. FIELD IS PARALEL TO Y AXIS.. OP MAKES ANGLE WITH X AXIS

(b) tan @=1/root 2
(c)@ =45 .
(d) tan =

let theta be d angle that OP makes with +ve X axis alpha be the angle that resultant of E of the dipole makes with OP
now, @+theta=90
And 2tan@=tan(theta) put value of @
we get tan(theta)=root2
