yes u can prepare for jee but it becomes very hard unless if u work hard and u have  a good mentors and faculty in ur school and u need to know books which are required and u should be taking self tests to check ur preparation level

Yes you can but keeping in view the present trend its not advisable , Though you can take any correspondence course and can prepare at home.
