Q. The electric field in a region is given by E = (Eox/L) i . Find the charge contained inside a cubical volume bounded by the surfaces x = 0, x = a, y = 0, y = a, z = 0, z = a. Take Eo = 5 ×103 N/C, L = 2 cm and a = 1 cm.

i think its correct

applying gauss law

(5*103   *6)/(100 *100)=q/8.85 *10-12    taking a in si units i.e. in m

q=2.25*10-12

plz rate me

The kind of Hypothetical Field in question if tried to be materialized it has to be sheet of positive Charge. Which requires the field can be aproximated to be uniform for smaller distences from the sheet                                               ( " Smaller distance "need a mathemetical defination which  I am skipping  ) But an argument can be made by saying that since there is no specification of  "a" we can not say the question to be ambigious. Secondly It would be great if you could present your views in the forum where in the topic is active rather sending to an other source. Awaiting your views on my Logic.
