Because

Boyle’s law is not obeyed in a balloon,

a)      Statement-1 is True, Statement-2 is True; statement -2 is correct explanation for statement-1.

b)      Statement-1 is True, Statement-2 is True; statement -2 is  not correct explanation for statement-1.

i think the answr may be (a)

boyle's law states that pressure of a gas is inversely proportional to the volume of a gas enclosed in a container..................and that container must have fixed definite volume of its own and should not increase with pressure..............whereas in balloon on increasing pressure the volume of container(i.e. balloon) is itself increasing ........so boyle`s law should not be applicable to balloon

do correct me if i m wrong

Boyle's law wont be applicable because no of moles are increasing..For Boyle's Law to be applied,no of moles should remain constant
