How to find the effective capacitance of a capacitor having many parallel plates as shown ?
Take surface area of each plate = A
AB=CD=EF=2d
BC=DE=d

you assume that the current A and F are connected with a source of current. It is very difficult to explain how to draw the circuit.

Let capacitance of system with seperation 2d be C so for system with a seperation of d is 2C. In that case circuit from P to Q is (C and 2C in parallel) in series with (C) in series with ( C and 2C in parallel) So 1/Ceq = 1/3C +1/C+1/3C So answer is 0.6C
