(sin A + cos A)2 = 1+2 sin A cos A.
Hence 2 sin A cos A = (sin A + cos A)2 - 1
Let sin A + cos A = t
The equation becomes t2 -1 -3t+3 = 0 or t2-3t+2 = 0 which has solutions t = 1 or t = 2
Since the max value of sin A + cos A is 21/2, t cannot be 2
Hence t = 1 i.e. sin A + cos A = 1 which means sin A = 0 and cos A = 1 or sin A = 1 and cos A = 0
