hmmmmm question is not cleared o2 is itself is a molecule.....so No. of unpaired molecules doesn't mean anyding.....it should unpaired electron.....if it is unpaired electron in o2 molecule....den it might b 1)0

see O2 does not hav a unpaired electron but


well if u draw the molecular orbital diagram of O2


then u will get a unpaired electron configuration


hence it is paramagnetic.

4 as O2 has a double bond in between. so no of electrons = 6 - 2 = 4.

if you write the MO configuration for oxygen molecule it is   seen that there are two unpaired electrons in antibondin p-orbital
