STATEMENT I : In general  to analyse  the motion of a body we can't treat it a point mass concentrated at its centre of mass

STATEMENT II: The radius of gyration may not be equal to seperation between centre of mass and axis, for a body.

well i think the first statement is false

BECAUSE  for studying the motion and apply

CONSERVATION OF MOMENTUM, ENERGY WE have to take the mass at centre of mass

(in case of rotation it is true)

second statement is true because in case of ring radius of gyration is

WHICH IS NOT EQUAL TO DISTANCE BET CENTRE OF MASS AND AXIS(it is 0)

Both the statements are right. But II is not expanation of I.

We can study motion of whole body as a point mass.
As energy changes are considered in considering a point mass, energy changes are due to its own potential energy change, considering point mass does not bother conservation of energy.

WELL MAN ,,,, YOU SHOULD READ THE FIRST PART CAREFULLY

you only are saying that "WE CAN STUDY MOTION OF WHOLE BODY AS A PT MASS"

THEN HOW COME 1st STATEMENT can be correct
