Naval College of Engineering (NCE) Entrance Exam:
Every year young and unmarried male candidates are selected by the Indian Navy to intake admissions into the B. Tech courses offered by the Naval College of Engineering (NCE), Lonavala is one of the oldest and prestigious engineering colleges in India. It was established in 1957 to meet the requirement of training technical naval officers. The Naval College of Engineering was “commissioned” on 12 Jul 1957 and was formally inaugurated on 02 Jan 1960 by late Shri VK Krishna Menon, the then Defence minister.
Naval College of Engineering (NCE) is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), and the college is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi also. The college is a defense academy completely owned and run by the central government of India.
Facilities @ NCE Colleges:
Initially in NCE, there were 11 staff at the directing level, later on it grew slowly and today it boasts a strength of 19 officers and 42 scientists as its faculty. The name of the college was changed from “Engineering & Electrical College” to “Naval Engineering College” also known as “Naval college of Engineering”. The college Technical Library houses over 25,000 volumes of books along with some of the most contemporary journals. The Naval College of Engineering is equipped with 18 laboratories and advanced training equipments thus helping it to stand as one of the best engineering colleges in India.
Admission Procedure Naval College of Engineering Admission Test:
The candidates will be selected in Naval Colleges by the Indian Navy to take admissions into the Naval Technical Education ( Naval College B.Tech Courses) offered by the Naval College of Engineering, Lonavala. For selection in Naval Engineering College, the candidates should undergo Interviews process & medical exams conducted by Services Selection Board (SSB). On the 1st day candidates have to take part in an intelligence test and those who qualify in this test can participate in other subsequent tests which is comprised of following..
1.) Psychological Tests,
2.) Individual Tasks,
3.) Group Tasks
4.) Group Discussion
5.) Interview Process
After Naval College of engineering admission test selection process is completed, the candidates will be enrolled as a cadet and sent for a six months naval orientation course at Naval Academy, Goa. After the naval orientation courses, the candidate will be sent for completing their B.Tech course at Naval College of Engineering, Lonavla.
Course Availability @ Naval College of Engineering:
Through Naval College of Engineering admission test, candidates can get degree in Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in the engineering branches of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering.
