dude : 1. u shudnt be thinking about placements when deciding your college, that is a secondary issue, things can change ferociosly in 4 years... 2. if i tell u that NIT PQR got highest pay package of 1 million pounds per minute for X no of students , can u be sure that 4 years later u will be among the X that will be chosen in such a company...keep in mind, its not only about ur grades but also about ur overall personality...3.if a college is good, ur grades are good, u r smart, placement is automatic, worst case worst scenario : u get placed at a low salary in a not so good company, its only ur college brand that pulls u out of such circumstances, having an NIT Trichy on ur resume removes all doubts...same case when apping to universities abroad. in fact, an IITian with 7 GPA has a bigger chance of getting into a given college than probably a dude with 10 GPA from another.....so just keep in mind, select the college with the best course and all the rest will fall into its place...best of luck
