clockwise rotation. it moves right. now you can see what i meant. v and rw will cancel each other only at the bottom point. now u see that pure rolling ( defined as when v = rw) takes place, the bottom point is at rest.
to imagine rw better, think that i have passed an axle thru the centre of disc, and disc is spinning in one place only in clockwise dirn. now the velo of bottom point is equal to rw, towards the left side.(the same diag, but without the term "v" in it is this exactly).
