Where is this IIT located?
IIT Bhubaneswar is situated in Orrisa which is located on the eastern coastal plains of India and on the south west bank of river Mahanadi. It has a vast campus of 935 acres which is sufficient for 10,000 students and 1100 faculty.

Where the classes for the academic session of 2008-2009 will be held?
The classes will be held in the premises of IIT Kharagpur for the first two semesters. After that students will be relocated to an IIT Kharagpur satellite campus in Bhubaneswar which has been identified as a temporary campus for the new IIT.

Is there any hostel facility available?
As this institution is established recently and it needs time to get fully operational so its mentor IIT that is IIT Kharagpur has put up the IIT Bhubaneswar students at its hostels, as room neighbours of its own students. It is expected that by the academic session of July 2009 institution will operate from a temporary campus in Bhubaneswar itself.
