when propyne reacts with diborane hydroboration takes place to form trialkenylborane ,this reacts with acetic acid undergo reduction to form alkenes three moles.if there is hydrolysis after hydroboration there is formation of same alkene propene.actually if hydroboration is followed by alkaline oxidation there is addition of water anti to the markownikoffs reaction takes place to form enol as intermediate than finelly propanal.
