acidic nature of compound decide by many factor like electronegativity,bond length,inductive effect and resonanting effect.like HF is less acidic then HCl because in HF intermoleculer hydrogen bonding decreases .same cases with H2O and H2S so alcohol are less acidic then thiol.here very importent point that if compound contains one proton than acidic nature decreases by inter moleculer hydrogen bonding but if compound contains two or more than proton than intramoleculer hydrogen bonding may be increase acidic nature of compound for example salysylic acid is strong acid because after relesing proton intermediate  stabilise by chelation or intramoleculer h-bonding.maleic acid is good acid for first proton beca after releaseing proton intermediate is stabilise by chelation and it second proton release late because it is busy in h-bonding
