There are 600 seats not 150. And the selection is done on the basis of merit of jee.

Jee people have given the ranks after 7200 to iist and iiser.So the applicant with higher rank will be taken.

It has a okay salary.But Very Large future.If you Have No Other option like Nit Or Bits Then Go To iist. You Get A certified job in ISRO And Your Pathway To Nasa Is Also Open.
