This shud be my last post here(at least for the time being though I am not known for sticking to what I say(include write too))..............I will most probably be found doing Biotechnolgy or Polymer and Chemical Technology from DCE or ECE from NIT Durgapur(the campus is a crap here so most probably I will be In DCE).I was an average guy throughout my student life(which has not ended yet and will probably be there for the next 7 years) and I have achieved average results only because I had put in average efforts....

Most of the JEE 2010 or 2011 aspirants here have only one thing in mind........How much do I study to get into an IIT.....What books should I refer etc.

See I am a failure at JEE 2009.....I was a JEE 2009 aspirant but got 1517 rank in EML...so dreams were shattered but when I got nearabout similar rank in AIEEE(11000)..I realized that April 12 was not an off day for me...In fact I never deserved an IIT(or even BHU or ISM)....I realized that I had serious loopholes in my efforts...

According to me A failure can teach you how not to  fail so i am putting a few points to be pondered upon for an IIT aspirant(all points may not be there...but a few were in my mind)

1.People say that JEE requires a Genius to solve it...no its a thing of past  when JEE was subjective and had fewer seats...also there were no coaching institutes so those who cleared JEE were real geniuses.....No a kid just needs an average IQ but loads of hardwork.....

2.What hours you need to study???...I keep on listening that time does not matter till you have the right approach...adding to this I wud say that time does matter....I personally feel that u need to study at least 4 hours daily if you have an average IQ and this 4 hours is just the lower critical time...4 hours the day you have to go to school and 7 when you have an off day....(Note:this only is for a kid having an average IQ like me)..but please never overdo it as then the first day you will study 10 hrs...but then you will slowly decline...so be constant (consistent wud be a better word) in your studies...

3.What Books???....See in chemistry read a lot but in physical chemistry, physics and maths practice a lot...but don't overdo only a certain type of question...doing 20 questions of the same type won't do but doing 20 each of different kind definitely does...Rest I only say that when you are soving numericals you shud enjoy them...then the question of number of books won't come as you wud know on your own that I have completed this book and now I need something else to feed upon....

4.Do time oriented practice.....before practising set a goal that I have to atleast solve this much questions in this much time...slowly you will find that your speed would be increasing....And speed does matter...

5.How to use goiit???......Some aspirants already do this....and I recommend you this only Intenet for not more than 30 mins a day...If you don't feel like studying then move out and GO Play.....Put up a question and shut down....We have very good people here like Bipin Sir and they would ensure that if the question carries any relevance as far as JEE is concerned it would be solved....Physical excercises are verry important and if not today than you wud realize this later....

6.Keep in your mind an IIT is an IIT no other institute can match it...so if you study sincerely for JEE all others like AIEEE and BITS wud automatically follow....And when exams in school approach many students neglect JEE preparations........Remember if u are clear with JEE syllabus then CBSE and other State boards will be no big task..........

7.Share good questions with friends....and develop this habit that if you are not able to do some question give it to 4 or 5 serious friends of yours...look what time they take and how do they do it?...If still not clear give the question to your teacher or post at Goiit..........

Finally I Aditya Kumar, earlier JEE 2009 aspirant and now JEE 2010 aspirant, sign out and bid farewell to all my friends here and Jee 2010 aspirants......
