"BITS, Pilani is a university with four campuses at different geographical locations unlike IITs each of which are autonomous bodies of their own. Now, I have been a part of the BITS system as a responsible student and have interacted with the administration (many a times being a part of it) and have fully understood the concept behind such a setup. We get the degree from BITS-Pilani university, the education system is same and centralised decisions affecting all campuses are taken jointly at the University office at Pilani. Now, BITS always maintains the fact that the rankings include all its campuses, in some the new Hyderabad campus also since it is now functioning on its increased strength and infrastructure. So, I believe there is no reason for aspirants to think the newer campuses are inferior in any regard.
Remember, the BITS system is a very well established one, and I mean very very well established. This is just being replicated to other geographical locations in the form of multiple campuses only because the town of Pilani can't be home to 12,000-15,000 students, can it be? "
