is it happening with you also?? i can't sleep now a days due to this aieee counseling. I have started getting irritated on small issues. my parents have observed a change in me. my dark circles have gone darker and bigger. i am from jaipur and with rank 23723 belonging to OPEN category, i was a little dissapointed on this performance but still i was happy because many people told me that students with AIR 27K have made it into some NIT or the other. i have already compromised with the branches and i am willing to do anything. but my dream branch is MET in NIT jaipur or MET in Trichy. i asked the admission incharge face-to-face of NIT jaipur, he told me you will definitly get some NIT or atleast MET in NIT jaipur (last year it was 25K). then we saw NIT jaipur civil HOD. he is a friend of my father's friend. i gave me a big NO ! ! he told that there are 500 seats in average all NITs total of 20 NITs make it a toll of 10,000 if we consider that 5000(IITs)+2000(BITs and others) go to other institutes then how will the student of 23K get a seat in NIT.. i was competely broken into two peices. he then advised me to go to SKIT jaipur.. but why should i go to SKIT, when NIT trichy's web-site says their last year MET closing rank was 27K then why is it now 11000, why so much drastic change.. at the same time we hear that seats in NITs have been increased...

its common sense if it had gone upto 25K last year then why not this year with also seat increased... i called two days ago somebody from NIT Warangal some prof. Prasad he told me that 5th counseling is just a mere fromality and it you must not expect any change...but what about last year, i asked. then he said forget about last year, this year the situation is different, OBC quota has been increased and there is no chance of you getting into NIT.....

i am writing all this for my own.. some thing like diary entry and would like to know if other students like me are feeling like me... sorry to waste your time
