alcohols are lewis base so reacts at 0 degree centigrade temperature to form protonated alcohol,at room temperature it form inorganic ester ethylhydrogen sulphate ,at 100 temperature it form carbocation ,if it reacts with excess of alcohol at 140 temperature form ether is known as williumson conteneous eterification while at 170 temperature it form dehydrated product alkene.reaction is ROH +H+ ROH2 R+ether or alkene
