Let $Ax_1+By_1+C_1=0\ and\ Ax_2+By_2+C_2=0$ be two parallel lines.. And d is the perpendicular distance between them... Then.

$d=\frac{|C_2-C_1|}{\sqrt{A^2+B^2}}$
