I am starting a series here.. will try to gather concepts which can be helpful and where people generally go wrong..

 

here's one:

 

If 0< <2, then intervals of values of  for which 2sin² - 5sin + 2>0, is

 

2sin² - 5sin + 2>0

 

(sin - 2)(2sin - 1)>0

 

sin cannot be 2,

 

so, sin > 1/2

 

then, u will find the intervals...

 

 

but hey,

 

(sin - 2) is always < 0

 

so, sign will change..

 

therefore, sin < 1/2
