in this question intermediate benzyne formation takes place .this reaction is an example of elimination-addtion reaction.in first step removal of HBr takes place by strong base sodamide to form benzyne with OCH3 group at near position.in second step - I effect of -OCH3 group create negative charge to near carbon of -OCH3 while distance carbon with positive charge .in final step NH2 ION added to positive carbon while solvent ammonia gives H+ added to negative carbon to give final product m-methoxy aniline.
