Hi Amolkr, I have also enrolled in FIITJEE RSM course for JEE 2008. I will advise you not to refer FIITJEE material for studying a concept but use it for testing them through the sums. Instead, I personally felt a lot better using reference books like Haliday- Resnick- Walker and Pearson's university physics for clearing concepts. HRW has a special section on tips to solve problems for each chapter. eg.problem solving tactics for conservation of linear momentum- for problems involving conservation of linear momentum, make sure you have chosen a closed(without passage of matter)and isolated(net external force- 0) system. If system is not isolated, one might conserve one component and not the other. Next, select 2 appropriate states of the system- initial and final and write the expression for the linear momentum for each .take care of the inertial reference frames and make sure you are taking into account the whole system not missing any part of it and not including external objects. finally set your expression for pi and pf equate them and solve for what is requested. all the best
