in carbonyl compound there is always primary attack of nucleophile takes place at central positive carbon because by this intermediate is oxygen negative which is 8 electron system stable in nature while if attack primary of electrophile intermediate is carbon positive which is 6 electron system less stable.so in carbonyl primery attack of nucleophile and reaction is known as nucleophilic addition reaction. | |||||||||||||
