Dear SAI, let me tell you the story about myself. I had scored 94.8% in 10th and was extremely delighted. but with good scores comes the additional pressure to perform and people start expecting a lot out fo you. As a result of trying to cope with pressures, i lost a valuable year in finally making to JEE, just because I was too bogged down by people having high hopes in me. the guys who scored less in exams etc and were the underdogs managed to perform better than me! Same story at IIT. I was always trying to make it big, and was loosing out. then one fine day i decided not to fight it out, but to enjoy whatever i wanted to do and take it slowly. as one of our professors at IIT Delhi once said in a class "to excel in something, you have to enjoy it". So thats the key to success. trust me. forget the pressures to perform, forget the aims. just enjoy what you do. u dont do well in one exam..not the end of the world, u'll do better next time. Its the journey that matters. the destination is just a by product. Its not a pep talk. its a rule applied in life and got extremely pleasing results. ~forum admin. |
