Well Niki, magnetic dipole moment is nothing but a physical quantity that points from N to S direction.its just like the case of an electric dipole moment.In case of a current carrying loop,it is in accord to right hand thumb rule.But if u will see closely here it also points from N 2 S formed in that loop.
