hi when pressure is applied FCC (which has 4 atoms per unit cell) changes into BCC (which has 2 atoms per unit cell).thus packing efficiency decreases as the no. of atoms decreases. hope u got it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
