We need a Real Solution

Infinite terms cannot be equated

the domain of x is (-,

) BOTH NOT INCLUDED

thus you cannot take it as a solution

you cannot use approximations here

for x howerever large, the equation x=x-1 does not hold true

also has no fixed value

if i'll take 10^999 as my solution then why not 10^1000

so then x has infinitely many solutions

the answer posted by Amaron,Johri,aanku and me are RIGHT
