quite simple...if u do with relative motion... do it with relative to the river so the ...object wudnt be moving wrt to ...the river bcoz it is moving with the speed of the river...n it takes 1 hr...to go n thn comes back...(wrt the river it will take 1 hr itself to cum back....rite??? ) so it travelled 6 km wrt to the river in 2 hrs...so the velocity is 6/2 =3
or ...add up time taken upstream n time taken for downstream...tat will be quite lenghty ...this is ..one solution n most preferred....if u wish i shall also tell the other solution n detailed ...
