LET A = ( 90 - x)
B = (90 - y)
so,
(1 + cos x)/ sin x + (sin y)/ 1 - cos y
= cot x/2 = sin y/2
= {sin (x+ y)/2} /sin (x/2) sin y/2}
={ 2 sin (x + y)/2} /cos(x-y)/2 - cos( x+ y)/2
= {2 cos( A +B)/2} / COS (A-B)/2 - SIN (A+B)/2
MULTIPLYING DENO. & NUMERATOR WITH 2SIN(A-B)/2, WE GET
2(SIN A - SIN B)/ SIN(A-B) + COS A - COS B
= R.H.S
