q.15=

while going up Mg + Ma =72g
while coming down Mg-Ma = 60 g

therefore 2Mg=( 72+60)g
Mg= 66 Kg...ans
similarly 2a =(72-60)g/66 or a= g/11=0.9 m/s^2....ans

q.16 =
apply a pseudo force mg/10 in opposite direction og acceleration.

now if T is the tension in the string , and a is the acceleration og the block .

then 3g+3g/10 -T=3a
T-1.5g-1.5g/10= 1.a
this yields T=7.5*(11g/10)/4=82.5g/40

reading in the balance will be 2T ,i.e. 82.5g/20=4.4 kg ...ans

hope you are satisfioed
pl rate me.......double rate...as u asked two questions...

pl send the entire questions so that those who do not have HCV may also have look on the prob..
