hey dis is paget's skull where diploic space is widened... i chose dis skull because it allows you to appreciate diploic space present between d 2 table of bones.. now, let me tell you what exactly diploic bone is.. some bones (especially the skull bones) in our body have 2 "tables" or 2 layers of bones, with a cavity between the 2 tables, where some veins (called diploic veins) run and marrow cavity is present.. you can see in that X-ray radiograph, that there are 2 layers of bones, and the greyish space between the 2 layers (or more appropriately tables) of the bone is d diploic space.. i hope it helps.. |
